The weekend flew by with nothing remarkable happening. Friday hubby and I decided that with the kids both in camp we would go browse Ikea. Wrong decision!Ikea was so packed they were parking people in a field. The walk to the store was about a quarter of a mile. I have no idea what the inside of the store looked like with that many people trying to shop because we didn't even park. We turned right around and got out of there! It was madness!
Saturday morning I met my girlfriend at Starbucks and we fine tuned our little home school coop we're doing this year. I ordered the last of my books this past week so the biggest decision has been made but now I need to make up some lesson plans and figure out where I'm going and how I'm going to get there.
The kids did chores outside with Dad including picking up the apples. This is our low yield year for apples so there was actually less than a five gallon bucket of them. That's okay because last year I put up plenty of apple butter and apple sauce. I've learned long ago that my trees rotate by years. I made a fresh apple pie for Sundays dinner.
Sunday Wendy and Justin came over for a Sunday dinner of Shepherds Pie, steamed broccoli, applesauce and pie and ice cream. After they left I took the longest nap imaginable in the history of mankind. I literally slept 2 1/2 hours right smack dab in the middle of the day! It felt divine! When I got up I set to cleaning out the master bathroom that is under remodel. I then straightened the rest of the house and got ready for Monday.
Now you talk about an "I had eggs for breakfast" type post and this is surely one! Nothing profound here. Just me living life, which reminds me that my poll on my sidebar shows daily life posts are leading the pack in preference. Bet after this you're wishing you would have voted differently, huh?

I couldn't pick just 1 so I took them all. I enjoy everything you write about.
I have never been to an Ikea. My niece lives in one I think. LOL
We have a Best Buy that is always packed full. I refuse to go in there any more. Hubby goes by himself or with our daughter. Little man can't go. I'm scared someone might end up carting him off.
Have a great night!
Hi--yes I have done a little globe trotting and by the time we zoomed by the exit to your house I could "smell" home!! My kids would have howled in protest if I'd tried to stop anywhere else! They weren't overly happy about the day in Idaho! We'll have to have another bloggers get together sometime! Check out my blog--posted a picture of my grandmother! Wayne thinks I look like her--Sharon
well -- did you have eggs for breakfast or not?? ;)
Nope I had french toast! :)
Man, I hate crowds, I would've turned right around too! We just got our new Ikea catolog in the mail, that may have had something to do with all those people there.
