The kids are all out at the horse barn muckin' out stalls for Edward! Do you know how often this happens that just Mr darling and I are left here at home? Can you say never? So are we taking advantage of this time? Well if you consider the fact that he is working on installing and wiring an electrical outlet in his garage and the fact that I am in the midst of folding 4 loads of laundry...if you consider that making use of the time, then yes, we are making good use of these moments.
I am just amazed at how quiet the house is!
Tomorrow my husband is going to my brothers to work on his wood stove and he's taking Tink with him since my brother has 6 girls and Tink loves to be with her cousins. That leaves Peter and I here; another beautifully, peaceful day.
Yes, I love my kids but these moments are just plain golden because of their rarity. So while I thank God for the beautiful kids he has given me, I also thank Him for the quiet amid the busyness.

I know what you mean! Last week when I had surgery my parents had the boys for four days while John took care of me and it was great......well, I think it was....morphine and Lortab make me a little groggy! ;)
Blessings for a lovely weekend!
Silence? Silence? I do not know this word of which you speak.
Yes, enjoy these moments! You are blessed. :]
On the rare occasions that I experience the phenomenon, I completely agree! It always makes me think I should try it a little more often:)
I never get the house to myself since I have little ones, but I do treasure nap time when the house is quiet. Or first thing in the morning before they wake up. Occasionally, my husband will take one with him to run errands, and it's amazing how quiet the house is with just one child at home.
